Why Our CNC Lathes Produce Better Hydraulic Fittings
Our high-end CNC lathes feature live tooling and sub-spindle capabilities, allowing us to complete complex hydraulic fittings in a single setup. This eliminates the cumulative positioning errors that come from multiple fixturings and reduces lead times significantly.
For hydraulic fittings requiring tight concentricity across multiple diameters and precise geometric relationships, our lathes produce finished fittings without secondary operations. Fewer setups means better geometric accuracy, shorter lead times, and lower per-part cost at volume.
When your print calls for cross-holes, flats, or features that would typically require a second operation on a mill, our CNC lathes handle it in one setup with one datum reference — reducing risk and improving repeatability.

Why Swiss-Type Turning for Your Parts
Our Tsugami SS327-III-5AX Swiss-type lathes are purpose-built for producing small-diameter, complex components with exceptional precision. The guide bushing system supports the workpiece close to the cutting tool, virtually eliminating deflection — critical for long, slender parts that would be difficult or impossible on conventional lathes.
With 5-axis simultaneous machining, live tooling, and a programmable B-axis, these machines complete intricate parts in a single cycle — including milling, cross-drilling, threading, and back-working — without secondary operations. The result is tighter tolerances, better surface finishes, and significantly reduced cycle times.
Swiss-type turning is our go-to process for small-diameter hydraulic fittings, fluid-system connectors, and precision components where complex geometry and extreme accuracy are non-negotiable.
Swiss-Type Advantages
- Superior precision on small-diameter parts (up to 32 mm)
- Reduced deflection via guide bushing support
- Complete parts in one cycle — no secondary operations
- 5-axis simultaneous capability for complex geometries
- High-volume unattended production capability
- Excellent surface finishes on long, slender workpieces
- Live tooling for milling, drilling, and cross-work
- B-axis for angular and off-center features
Materials We Machine

Stainless Steel
304, 316, 321, 15-5 PH, and 17-4 PH grades — the primary materials for our aerospace hydraulic fittings. These stainless grades provide the corrosion resistance and strength required for hydraulic system fittings, valve bodies, and fluid connectors in flight-critical applications.

Aluminum & Steel
7075 and 2024 aluminum for lightweight hydraulic fittings and aerospace structures, plus 4130 chromoly steel for high-pressure hydraulic components and structural fittings. These materials are machined to the same tight tolerances as our stainless hydraulic fittings.

Free-Machining Steel
12L14 (ASTM A108) free-machining steel for high-volume hydraulic fitting production runs demanding superior surface finish and tight dimensional control. Ideal for hydraulic unions, bushings, and precision connectors.
